The text of the President’s message is as follows:
“in the name of God
The death of the outstanding artist and committed teacher, the late Habibullah Sadeghi, was a cause of regret and grief.
Joining Imam Khomeini’s movement, this pioneer in the field of visual arts dedicated his rich taste and artistic capabilities to the victory of the Islamic Revolution, and he remained with the people and the revolution in full piety and creation of valuable works.
I offer my condolences on the death of this popular and revolutionary artist to the respected family, the art community and the lovers of the late Saeed.
Seyed Ibrahim Raisi
President of the Islamic Republic of Iran”

In the next part of the ceremony, Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, while expressing his regret and impression on the loss of this outstanding revolutionary artist, said: The days of mourning for Agha Hazrat Abba Abdullah Imam Hussein (AS) and the loss of this outstanding revolutionary artist are for the service of the artistic community and the society. I offer my condolences to the university of the country, his dear family and all his students and fans. Mr. Dr. Sadeghi was an outstanding and experienced artist. In February of last year, when we held an exhibition in the Museum of Contemporary Arts, in the presence of Mr. President, during his visit, I requested Mr. Doctor to finish the many works that he had worked hard on in the field of visual arts. Explain next to the boards. His first paintings were from the years before the victory of the Islamic Revolution. The years 1355 and 1356, the era when he was probably at the beginning of his youth and had started his noble works in the field of promoting revolutionary ideas since that time.

Esmaili added: The master’s last work was a 100-meter work that included the glorious history of Islamic Iran to the prayer of Hazrat Agha over the body of the beloved martyr Soleimani. He completed this work with love and day and night with a jihadi work, and we were waiting for its unveiling, but there was no chance to do this unveiling with the presence of this unique artist of our country. In the last conversation I had with him, we agreed to use his excellent capacities abroad. They had a very good idea and their loss caused a blow to the revolutionary art and I again offer my condolences on their death. On Thursday night, I was at the service of Mr. President, and he emphasized that during the funeral, I would convey his greetings and condolences to the entire artistic community, especially his dear family.

Mohammad Ali Rajabi, a close friend of the late Sadeghi, said in the continuation of this ceremony: We belong to God and we return to God, and this is the fate of all of us, but I never thought that I would stay and Habib would go. Habib, get up and put on your colorful clothes. They say that in the world of art, if an artist is disappointed with his work, he can no longer work. Our dear Habib gave his all and never gives up. The work is done and he is done with the work. He did what he had to do in this world. Dr. Habibullah Sadeghi, being a doctor was not an honor for him, nor was there any name other than art, in the same sense as it means a good person in our culture. Habibullah Sadeghi was good-natured and this is the first condition of artistic work. Our noble teachers said that the first condition is purity and based on purity, your art will be respected.

In the next part of the funeral ceremony of the late Habibullah Sadeghi, Hojjatul Islam Mohammad Qomi, the head of the Islamic Propaganda Organization, said in a short speech: As a student and as a servant of the martyrs, now that we are grieving and we have lost this artist and the day of his funeral It is the first day of Hosseini mourning and the mourners have taken out their black clothes from the closets, I hope that on this day they will join the party of the heavenly people and the caravan of Ashuraites.

After Hojjatul Islam Qomi’s short speech, Bahman Namour Motlaq, the head of the Academy of Arts, said: Habibullah Sadeghi was an artist of resistance and of the people. The themes of his works contained important messages. He continued his activities away from the knots. He was a continuous member of the Academy of Arts and a colleague of the art field and the head of the Museum of Contemporary Arts and invited everyone to join forces. He had ideals that were derived from an intellectual principle. Habibullah Sadeghi is the proud heir of Iran’s art. Heir of Mani colors and popular themes of Reza Abbasi. His work in resistance painting was unprecedented and will surely remain a lasting memory. He also connects creation, art, knowledge, spirituality and knowledge, tradition and modernity. He was both a moral teacher and a creative artist. Ishan knew the value of time well and the speed of his paintings was equal to the speed of a swallow in music. He touches the brush and the colors become blue sky, flowing river, clouds and rain, a beautiful flower, battlefield against oppression, tied hands, a martyr on the ground, a suffering mother, the face of a lonely musician…

He added: “His friends know well, when the bird of his imagination took flight, notebooks, canvases, even the walls took up space. Two years ago, he collected all his precious experiences and collections to create a great work. Small works did not satisfy him anymore and he felt as if he didn’t have much time left and he had to create the masterpiece of his life. He said it was a work with an area of 100 meters, but we all knew that 100 is a symbolic number. When someone went to see him, he would tell about his sufferings and joys, about dreams and aspirations, about victories and defeats, and about the decency and courage of the people. They came and did not come. But the works of his last work were not yet finished when he left us.

Amir Hossein Sadeghi, the son of the late Habibullah Sadeghi, read some poems by Hafez and said: I had little chance to talk with my father. Many plans, high goals, serious tasks and heavy burden. The artist is a mirror. A mirror has nothing but narration. A neutral narrative. A narrative in which you do not find any other hermeneutic roots except the meaning. The artist is the narrator of love. I don’t remember anything from my father except my love. You saw one hundred meter work, but I saw thousands and thousands of kilometers of it. Today is the first of Muharram. My father had a family from his father’s house and I understood the concept of art from my father. I don’t remember anything else from him except for his manners, whether it was in painting, in breast feeding, or in the love he had for the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).

Habibullah Sadeghi, a revolutionary artist in the field of visual arts, passed away on Wednesday, the fifth of August, due to a heart problem.
