Cultural heritage is the main focus of the 7-year Iran-Europe cooperation program



According to the correspondent of Heritage Aria, in this meeting, which was held this evening, Sunday, December 12, 1400, and was attended by managers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the most important areas of cooperation between Iran and the European Commission in the field of the ministry’s three missions were reviewed.

Alireza Izadi, Director General of the Ministry and Minister of International Affairs of the Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts, said at the beginning of the meeting: “I welcome you as a representative of the Ministry and I hope that the beautiful face of Iran will be more visible to you.” “Iran has been considered as one of the most important origins of human civilization in the world, and the three areas of cultural heritage, tourism and handicrafts as the main missions of this ministry well reflect the existing capacities of the beautiful country of Iran.”

He added: “We have very high capacities in Iran, one of which is the diversity in the field of tourism, as well as the diversity of ethnicities and beautiful cultures, which has led to the production of beautiful handicrafts in Iran and introduced this country as an important tourist destination. “It will happen.”

Expect to strengthen relations with countries in the field of tourism

“I hope that your presence, the people and the set of activities you carry out, will create a bridge of communication in the field of culture, including the growth and exchange of tourists,” Izadi continued.

He added: “Fortunately, Iran has become a well-known country for many countries due to its important activities at the international level, including a serious fight against drug trafficking. “Therefore, we expect to see the strengthening of relations between Iran and other countries in the field of tourism.”

The Director General of the Ministry and International Affairs of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts added: “Iran is an archeological paradise, while we have a lot of potential in the field of architecture and historical monuments, as well as in the field of traditional arts and crafts. “In addition, we are witnessing diversity in the field of natural tourism, and all of these capacities can lead to the strengthening of relations between Iran and the European Commission.”

Referring to the world complex of Golestan Palace where the meeting was held, Izadi said: “This palace is just one example of thousands of beautiful historical monuments in Iran, whose beautiful architecture shows the genius of Iran. »

Iran’s capacities are the most important reason for developing cooperation

“I am very happy that this meeting was held in a beautiful place called Golestan Palace and I was impressed by the beauty and architecture of this place as the meeting place,” said Sarah Reynoldi, Head of the Middle East and Central Asia Office of the European Commission. »

He added: “Certainly, given Iran’s great potential in the field of tourism, as well as historical monuments and handicrafts, it is possible to expand the fields of cooperation between Iran and the European Union in these areas.”

Develop a seven-year cooperation plan between Iran and the European Union next week

“Iran is a big country with a lot of tourism diversity, and a seven-year cooperation plan between Iran and the European Union will be developed next week,” Rinaldi said. “The seven-year strategy covers a variety of issues, one of which is cooperation in the field of cultural heritage, which is, of course, an important part of this seven-year plan.”

“This program includes helping tourism management, raising global awareness of Iran, supporting the field of cultural heritage, creating channels of dialogue between Iranian handicraft artists and the European Union, and so on,” he added.

“The projects presented by Iran at this meeting are excellent projects. Of course, the investment in this regard is the responsibility of the private sector, and we will definitely support this investment,” Rinaldi said.

National Museum and Oramanat is a model for cooperation between Iran and the European Commission

Mohammad Reza Kargar, Director General of Museums of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, referring to the most important areas of cooperation between Iran and Europe, added: “Museums can be the most important area of ​​cooperation between Iran and the European Commission.” “The National Museum of Iran can be one of the main joint actions.”

He also referred to the Oramanat / Horaman World Register and added: “This region is registered as an important site by UNESCO and this site can also be the center of cooperation between Iran and the European Commission.”

“Protection of historical monuments, economicization of cultural heritage, sisterhood between Iranian and European cultural cities, return of historical property, introduction of Iranian culture and civilization, etc. can also be other areas of cooperation between Iran and European countries,” Kargar said.

Jibril Nokandeh, Director General of the National Museum of Iran, also said at the meeting: “The works kept in the National Museum of Iran belong to human beings and we need international cooperation to protect them. “We are pursuing an improvement project for the National Museum of Iran, which could be the focus of Iran’s cooperation with European Commission countries.”

“The National Museum of Iran cooperates with EU countries, including the Louvre,” he said. “Archaeologists from EU countries are cooperating with Iran in various excavations.”

Handicrafts and tourism are two important capacities of Iran

Vida Tohdi, Director General of the Office of Education and Extension of Handicrafts of the Ministry of Heritage, Culture, Tourism and Handicrafts, also mentioned the important capacities of Iranian handicrafts, including our country’s first rank in the world registration of cities and villages of handicrafts as one of the important axes of Iran’s international cooperation win.

Alireza Rahimi, Director General of Investment, Infrastructure and Exemplary Tourism Areas, also said at the meeting that Iranian tourism is part of the world tourism ecosystem: “For this reason, many people around the world are interested in visiting Iran. “We are working on issues that could be the focus of tourism cooperation, including cooperation in the fields of marketing, services and tourism development, investment development, tourism management, and so on.”
