He added: People with thick blood in the days before cupping by consuming very light foods, such as soup, fruit, lettuce and some drinks, prepare the body for cupping according to their mood and go to the bathroom a few hours before cupping so that the thick blood has diluted a little. and close to the surface of the body. But people with thin blood should not take a bath 12 hours before cupping. The diagnosis of these cases is with a doctor specializing in Iranian medicine.

Cupping is not recommended for children under 2 years old and people over 60 years old

Dr. Mojahedi stated: Cupping is more recommended in the spring season, especially in the second half of the lunar month, and cupping in other seasons of the year is emphasized at certain times and prohibited at some times.

Pointing out that cupping in the holy month of Ramadan is permissible an hour after a light iftar, he said: “For women, cupping is prohibited during menstruation, pregnancy and breastfeeding, and cupping is prohibited and harmful in most cases for phlegmatic and cold-tempered people.” is.

Pomegranate is highly recommended in the days and hours before and after cupping to make cupping more effective.

He said: Avoid excessive activity, heavy exercise, mental stress, sexual intercourse, eating heavy, fatty and salty foods, fish and pickles the day before and after cupping (especially the first hours before and after cupping).
