Customs report on the import of mobile phones until November 1402
According to the latest customs statistics, this year more than 9 million mobile phones with a value of about two billion dollars have entered the country. Comparison of the available data shows that the import of mobile phones to the country is growing compared to the first months of the year.
Iranian customs reported that from the beginning of this year to the end of November, 9 million 268 thousand 339 mobile phones entered the country in two ways, commercial and passenger. The value of this number of imported phones is reported to be 1 billion 938 million 553 thousand dollars.
According to the announced statistics, 96% of the phones imported into the country are commercial, and their dollar value is more than one billion and 740 million dollars. 339 thousand and 542 devices worth 197 million and 807 thousand dollars have entered the country as passengers in this period.
It is worth noting that the statistics of mobile phone imports in the 8 months of this year are under the codes No. 85171210 and 85171390 for the description of smart mobile phones and codes No. 85171220 and 85171420 for the description of the mobile phone with non-touch keyboard.
Increasing the import of mobile phones to the country
Comparing the customs data of September and November shows an increase in the import of mobile phones to the country. According to the data announced by the customs, from the beginning of the year to the end of September 1402, a total of 6 million 435 thousand 141 mobile phones entered the country in two ways, commercial and passenger. Now, within two months, more than two million and 833 thousand mobile phones have been imported, which is 40% more than the average import during the first six months of the year.
It should be noted that the customs announced in May of this year that more than 2.8 billion dollars were spent on the import of mobile phones in 1401. Now, if the current trend continues this year, the dollar value of mobile phone imports will probably exceed 1401 during this year. This is while in 1400 nearly 4.1 billion dollars were spent on importing mobile phones to the country.
