In an interview with IRNA on Friday evening, Mehdi Frati added: “Shin Dokiokushin League and self-defense in line with the country’s free karate competitions was held for one day with the participation of 11 teams from four provinces in the gym of Damghan University.”
He continued: At the end of this competition, which was held today, team “A” of Damghan Municipality Cultural and Sports Club, team “B” of Damghan Municipality Cultural and Sports Club and Tehran sports team, won the first to third places of the team.
Frati stated: 70 participants from Tehran, Khorasan Razavi, Mazandaran and Semnan provinces were present in this competition.
He added: Meysam Mohsenifard and Hamid Khanpour are in charge of holding the competitions and I was also in charge of supervising the competitions.
Secretary of Damghan Karate Board and Head of International Affairs Shobokan Karate of the country stated: The program and focus of Damghan karate instructors in talent identification among children and adolescents is that with the aim of foresight, many measures have been taken in this regard in the Karate Board.
According to IRNA, in Damghan city, more than 400 male and female athletes are active in karate, more than 90% of whom have sports insurance.
There are 3,700 organized athletes in 38 sports boards in Damghan.
