Muqtada al-Sadr: Iraq needs the experience that Egypt has had with Abdel Fattah al-Sisi

According to Fars News Agency’s International Group, Muqtada al-Sadr, the leader of the Sadr movement in Iraq, warned in a statement about imitating dance and music festivals and ceremonies in Egypt, saying that such issues contradict the culture and religion of the Iraqi people.

“Instead of such ceremonies, Egypt’s experience in the new era led by President al-Sisi should be used, and Egypt’s new experience should be considered for dear Iraq,” he said, according to the RussiaAlum website.

“I mean the Egyptian experience of the growth and development of services and development, which is gradually taking place based on the thoughts and actions of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi,” Muqtada al-Sadr added.

He said that Egypt has been able to heal its wounds after a period of disaster and to rebuild through a regular and codified program, while overcoming terrorism and extremism while strengthening the role of the army.

Muqtada al-Sadr’s statement came after Egyptian singer Mohammed Ramadan gave a big concert in Baghdad last week, and many Iraqi circles criticized the holding of such ceremonies in the country.
