Danish director collaborates with Netflix/making a mini-series

Danish Nicolas Winding Refn has created a noir series for Netflix.
Charso Press: Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn, who is the creator of films such as “Bran”, has created the series “Copenhagen Cowboy” for Netflix.
This 6-episode series in the “neon-noir” style is the director’s first project about his hometown in more than a decade.
The creator of “Neon Devil” returns to his Danish and Copenhagen roots by making this series, which is also the first series he makes for Netflix.
This 6-episode series is called an exciting noir series full of neon, and Angela Bundalevich is the main actress. He had previously also played the role of a young hero who roams the criminal world of Copenhagen in Netflix’s “Rain”, which was very popular in Denmark.
Refn gained his world fame with the “Drug Dealer” trilogy about the Danish criminal world and introduced Mads Mikkelsen to the world with these films.
Zlatko Burik, who worked with this director in all three films of the “Seller” series, will also be with him in the new series. Refn’s daughter, Lola Korfixen, who is an actress, along with Andreas Leiky Jorgensen, Jason Hendel-Forsil, Lil Ye Zhang are other actors of the series.
The screenplay of this series was written by Sara Isabella Jansen, Johanne Algren and Mona Masri.
Refn has also said that he will go back to the past with “Copenhagen Cowboy” to expand his future by making a series.
He wrote: My spiritual development is constantly evolving and I consider Netflix not only as business partners but also as friends for future adventures.
Refn’s last project was the noir series “Too Old to Be Young” starring Miles Tiller for Amazon Prime.
“Copenhagen Cowboy” has finished filming in Denmark and is set to be streamed worldwide on Netflix later this year.
In 2011, Refn won the Best Director Award at the 64th Cannes Film Festival with the movie “Bran” or “Driving” starring Ryan Gosling, Carey Mulligan and Oscar Isaac. This film also won the Palme d’Or nomination.
