Dar al-Afta of Iraq: Iran tried to extinguish the fire of sedition in Iraq

According to the report of Fars News Agency International Group, Sheikh “Amer Al-Bayati”, the official spokesman of the Iraqi Parliament, praised Iran’s efforts and help to prevent sedition in Iraq and emphasized the need for dialogue between all Iraqi parties.
The spokesman of the Iraqi Dar al-Aftai in a conversation with Arabic website While thanking the efforts of the Iranian government and people, Fars News Agency stated: “Some foreign parties intervened and these interventions were not in the interest of the Iraqi people; But the Islamic Republic of Iran tried and these efforts continue through diplomatic lines. The diplomatic apparatus of the Islamic Republic of Iran followed up on the events in Iraq, and this country wants to put out the fire of this sedition and put out the fire that will burn wet and dry together.”
Sheikh Amer al-Bayati also stated in connection with the most profound solution for the unrest in Iraq: “The quick solution in Iraq and the exit of this country from chaos, unrest and insecurity in this country, and especially in the heart of dear Baghdad, is that everyone around the discussion table, sit down to negotiate and consult and provide basic solutions by following the Iraqi constitution and authority.”
Political parties in Iraq have not managed to form a new government in the country after the announcement of the election results in October 2021.
The situation in Iraq became tense during this period and especially in the past weeks after the demonstrations of the rioters supporting the Sadr movement. After the announcement of the resignation of the leader of the Sadr movement, Seyyed Moqtadi al-Sadr, they attacked Iraqi government institutions and occupied some buildings, which eventually led to a conflict with the Iraqi security forces.
As a result of these clashes, 30 people were killed and about 700 were injured, including dozens of Iraqi security forces. After the unrest escalated, the leader of the Sadr Movement apologized to the Iraqi people in a speech yesterday afternoon, and by setting a deadline of one hour, demanded the immediate departure of the supporters of this movement from the “Green Zone” of Baghdad.
After the speech of the leader of the Sadr Movement, the supporters of this movement immediately left the Green Zone and the situation in Iraq almost returned to normal.
