Dariush Khanji receives an award from the American Society of Cinematographers

Dariush Khanji, one of the most prominent cinematographers of the world cinema, will be honored by receiving an award from the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC).
Charso Press: Iranian-French cinematographer Dariush Khanji has more than 80 works as a cinematographer, and for the film “Evita” (1997) directed by “Alan Parker”, he was nominated for an Oscar, the British Film Academy and the American Society of Cinematographers.
The 67-year-old cinematographer, who is currently working with “Angel” director Bong Joon-ho on the new film “Mickey 7”, worked on David Fincher’s “Seven” (1995) and “The Immigrant” (2015). ) directed by “James Gray” has been nominated twice for the American Cinematographers Association Award.
He worked with great directors such as “Jean-Pierre Jeunet” (Deli, City of Lost Children, Alien: Resurrection), “Bernardo Bertolucci” (Stolen Beauty), “Danny Boyle” (The Beach), “Sidney Pollack” (Translator), “Woody” Allen (Midnight in Paris), Michael Haneke (Funny Games, Love), and The Safdie Brothers (Cut Jewels).
Khanji has managed the filming of the films “The Lost City of Z” and “Armageddon” among other productions by “James Gray”.
Recently, Khanji collaborated in the film “Bardo” by “Alejandro González Iñárritu” and for this film, he received the Silver Frog and Fipershi awards of the International Film Festival of Camera-Image Art in Poland.
Dariush Khanji will receive the Special International Award at the 37th Annual Awards of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) which will be held on March 5, 2023 at the Beverly Hilton.
