According to Fars News Agency’s theater reporter, the media meeting of the 19th Puppet Theater Festival was held on Tuesday, July 14th, with the presence of Kazem Nazari, Director General of Performing Arts, and Hadi Hejazifar, Secretary of the event, at the Hall of Fame of Teatarshahr Complex.

At the beginning of the meeting, Hadi Hejazifar, the secretary of the 19th Puppet Theater Festival, announced the start of registration for this festival from July 14 and said: We tried to design the call for the festival based on the pathology of the previous courses, so that we can achieve our goals. We also tried to make this call comprehensive and complete, of course there are some problems, but we tried to minimize these issues.
He added: “Very clearly, at any stage of the festival, if we feel that we have made a mistake, we will correct it immediately.”
Hijazi Far continued: Our goal is to hold a glorious festival and restart the puppet show production process that has been stopped and slowed down for 4 years.
The secretary of the 19th Puppet Theater Festival stated: With the help of Mr. Nazari and Mr. Salari, very big events are going to happen in the Puppet Festival and we hope that other government institutions, including the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Tehran Municipality, will support this festival.

Referring to the call for this festival, he explained: The festival will be held in 3 sections based on the audience, and we will have a total of 40 accepted works, and if we hope that the number of submitted works in the playing stage will be more, we will also increase the number of accepted works. .
Referring to the festival’s support for theater groups, Hijazi Far added: “To help young groups, we will grant financial aid to 20 rejected groups in the review stage.” Also, the amount of 30 to 50 million for the adult sector and the amount of 15 to 20 million for the open space has been considered, which will be allocated according to the cost estimates made in the groups.
He added: We are consulting with knowledge-based companies so that they can join the drama groups, and an award has been planned for these people. 2 prizes will be awarded in each section, which will be 15 and 12 million in each section, but we will have 3 prizes in the doll making section.
Hijazifar pointed to the budget of the puppet theater festival and said: The budget of the festival has increased by 400% compared to the previous period, of course, maybe if there was someone else at the head of the management besides Mr. Salari, and these people did not have academic and theatrical faces and were not familiar with puppet theater. This was not happening.
In the end, Hejazifar noted: The budget of the festival is spent from the theater and we are trying to return this cost to the pocket of the theater, and I personally believe that the puppet theater has the ability to be self-governing.

Also, in the continuation of this meeting, Kazem Nazari, Director General of Dramatic Arts, stated regarding the public performance of puppet shows throughout the year: We are considering to provide a puppet show in one of the theaters of the city, and we thought about this issue with the help of loved ones and the Ministry of Guidance. He did this so that this type of show can be performed throughout the year.

At the end of this meeting, Hadi Hijazifar complained about the state of the private theater of the city and said: We hope that the private situation of the city theater will be resolved once and for all. We are concerned about the happy march of the festival and the safety of the people who attend it.

Also, Kazem Nazari said in this regard: We ask for help from all our loved ones and the media so that we can solve the issue of the privacy of the city theater as soon as possible.
