Defeat missile attack by Saudi coalition elements against Yemeni army positions

According to Fars News Agency’s International Group, military sources in Ma’rib province reported that Saudi-affiliated militants today (Monday) intended to fire two missiles at Yemeni army positions and popular committees, but the missiles deflected and landed in a desert area. And hit the ground away from the target.

According to the Al-Khobar Al-Mini website, this is not the first time that a missile launch by the army affiliated with Mansour Hadi’s government has failed. Elements affiliated with the Saudi coalition had no successful firing after foreign experts left Yemen following advances by the Yemeni army and popular committees.

Meanwhile, Saghir bin Aziz, chief of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the resigned Yemeni government, said in an interview with the Washington Post yesterday that 8700 of his troops had been killed and wounded in Ma’rib province since the beginning of the year. The government army is the leader of the missile and drone attacks of the Sanaa government forces.

In the past month, Yemeni resistance forces have begun a new round of advance toward the center of Ma’rib province, taking control of large areas in the south and southeast of Ma’rib province. The entire Shabwa province has also fallen into the hands of Sanaa government forces.

Al-Bawaba Al-Akhbariya Al-Yemeni news website reported last week, citing military sources, that as Yemeni forces approached, leaders of the resigned government and the aggressor Saudi-Emirati coalition were fleeing the city.
