Hossein Rezaei, director of Radio Javan’s virtual space group, told Mehr reporter about the “Daughter of Iran” program and the narrative of the lives of famous women: “Daughter of Iran” program presents a new narrative of Iranian women’s lives. In this regard, the “Dekht Iran” program tries to be able to have something to say to all sections of the society.
He added: In this program, we went to the character of Badr al-Zaman Gharib. She was a woman who spent her life in the service of culture and literature, especially researching and discovering the secrets of myths, and we have also tried to use the conversations of these people so that the listeners can get to know more about the feelings and state of these women.
Rezaei mentioned about Mrs. Qarib’s character: Badr al-Zaman Qarib initially started to study as a doctor, but eventually fate directed him towards literature and then ancient languages. During his studies, he faced many hardships and made countless efforts to be able to study in a country far from his homeland and finally return to Iran and transfer his knowledge to the future generations of Iran.
The manager of Radio Javan’s virtual space group reminded: this honorable teacher with a constant smile, patience and perseverance, was able to train many students and always asked them to walk on the path of their dreams and not to give up their hope and motivation, just like him who He devoted more than 20 years of his life to writing the Sogdian dictionary.
He also pointed to some cultural points in this program and said: It is important to know that the Sogdian language is one of the Eastern Iranian languages and it was common in the Sogd region in Central Asia. From the 2nd to the 12th century AD, this language was used as an important and intermediary language on the Silk Road and parts of China, Turkestan, Mongolia and Pakistan.
In the end, Rezaei stated: In other words, the Sogdian language was the language of trade of the people of that time. The Sogdian alphabet is based on the Aramaic alphabet and this language has a diverse and extensive literature that includes religious (Buddhist, Christian and Manic) and non-religious (medical, historical, mythological, etc.) texts.
