delivery of 20 thousand residential units by the end of this year; New promise or reality? – Tejarat News

According to Tejarat News, it was about 15 years ago that the construction of Mehr housing projects was started in Ahmadinejad’s government. A number of tenants also received their units after some time and became homeowners.

But more than a decade later, some of the units have been abandoned and the applicants are still waiting for the units that they have paid for. During this period, some of them gave up hope of becoming housewives and gave up altogether.

Previously, the Deputy of Cooperative Affairs of the Ministry of Cooperatives, Labor and Social Welfare announced the number of undelivered Mehr housing units as 33 thousand units.

In the meantime, the Deputy Minister of Roads and Urban Development announced the delivery of 50% of the semi-finished houses of Mehr housing and said: 20,000 Mehr housings will be delivered to applicants by the end of the year.

But is it practical to promise to deliver this number of units with less than two months left until the end of the year?

The problems of building Mehr housing houses

Mehr housing houses were supposed to be a way for a large number of tenants who wished to own a house to own a house with a low amount. But now, after more than a decade has passed since the construction of Mehr housing began and the rampant increase in inflation, it is not clear how many percent of the applicants are still able to pay the costs of the units.

On the other hand, even now, the government has a high debt to contractors, and due to the severe lack of budget this year, it seems that there is no ability to pay these debts. Of course, this budget deficit is another obstacle to cover the costs of this project.

As mentioned, there are only less than two months left until the end of this year, and even if the government is able to deliver the units to the applicants in this period despite the mentioned problems, it seems that it will not have the required quality.

Also, considering that some apartments are not built in suitable areas, some of these units have no applicants for delivery.

Based on this, it seems that the government’s promises to build housing, whether in the form of national housing or in the form of completing the Mehr housing project, are not practical to a large extent!
