The line-up of the twelfth-generation Alder Lake P mobile phone is getting a bit confusing, with details of the Core i7 12650H processor being released showing that it is only lower than the Core i5 12500H in terms of the number of cores. The Intel hybrid architecture, as you know, is a combination of the Golden Cove (powerful) and Gracemont (low-power) cores, which may provide higher energy efficiency in the next generation of laptops.
While this technology has been used in smartphones for many years, it has not yet been implemented in 45 watt x86 laptops. However, choosing between a 10 and 12 core Alder Lake P processor will not be easy.
Details of the Core i7 12650H notebook processor
A new model called Core i7 12650H on the website Geekbench Observed where this chip, or more precisely its integrated graphics, have been tested in OpenCL. Most important of all, however, is the specification of the new processor, which allows us to add it to our current list.

This is where things get confusing. The 10-core Core i7 12650H has fewer cores than the 12-core Core i5 12500H. However, there are details that reveal the truth, in fact, this model has more powerful cores and less energy-efficient cores. Technically, we definitely expect better performance in heavy-duty tasks, which is why this model is in the Core i7 category instead of the Core i5.

The integrated 64-unit Xe LP graphics also offer performance from the GeForce GTX 760 to the Raedon RX 550, which means it is at a low level. Of course, this processor will most likely come with separate graphics on laptops.
