Azadi clarified: If the patient receives this level of treatment in government centers, 90% of the tariff will be paid by the insurance, and if it is done in other centers, 90% of the non-governmental public tariff, which is actually slightly more than the government tariff, will be paid by the health insurance.
He continued: These services are without a ceiling, which means that IVF may be done two or three times for a patient during the treatment period in a year, and each time the service is covered by the health insurance, and the patient can use this service using the insurance. to benefit
The deputy of the specialized office of Iran Health Insurance Organization stated that infertility subspecialty services are expensive services and said: Before 1400, this service was not under the obligation of any insurance organization, and after 1400, it was notified by the secretariat of the Supreme Council of Health Insurance. , these services were also covered by insurance organizations. With the announcement of this resolution by the government, all insurance organizations have gone to purchase these services, which means that social security insureds can also use these services under the same conditions that health and military insurance insureds use.
Azadi noted: IVF service in non-governmental public centers costs about 10 to 12 million without ancillary services such as medicine and tests, so the coverage of 90% of these services by the patient’s out-of-pocket insurance is significantly reduced. Also, due to the fact that 90% coverage is given for these services with non-governmental public tariff, there is no limit for rural patients or employees or public insurance and all people can benefit from these services equally.
