“Dev and Delbar” turned 30 years old/preparing a program to celebrate

The 30th anniversary of the creation of the animation “Dev and Delbar” is celebrated.
Charso Press: Disney and ABC have prepared a special program on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the animation “Devil and Lovely”.
The 2-hour program includes a never-before-seen musical performance using new sets and costumes inspired by this classic story. The songs of this musical program are of course borrowed from the animation to be performed in front of a live audience at the Disney studio.
The special will air on ABC on December 15th and will be available to stream on Disney+ the following day. The names of the faces in this live program have not been announced yet.
John M. Cho is the executive director of this program and Hamish Hamilton is in charge of directing it.
This is not the first time that an animation is performed in a live format, and in 2019, “Mermaid” was honored with such a program and songs from that animation were performed live.
The animation “Devil and Beauty” was released at the end of 1991, adapted from “The Ugly and the Beautiful” written by the French writer Jean-Marie Luprince de Beaumo. This film, directed by Gary Truesdale and Kirk Visakaran, was praised by both the audience and the critics, and in 1992 it became the first animated film to win an Oscar nomination for the best film and finally took home 2 Oscars, which were for the best song and the best soundtrack. Was.
This animation, which was made with a budget of 25 million dollars, sold more than 440 million dollars at the global box office.
The reception of this animation led to the creation of video sequels in 1997 under the title “Devil and Charmander: A Magical Christmas” directed by Andy Knight, in 1998 under the title “The Magical World of Charmander” directed by Cullen Bellini and a video film in 1999 under the title “Lovely Tales of Friendship” directed by Jimbo Mitchell was released. A live TV series was also made based on it.
Finally, the live version of “Devil and Sweetheart” was released in the form of a musical film directed by Bill Condon and written by Steven Shabasky and Ivan Spiliotopoulos. Emma Watson and Dan Stevens played the main characters in this movie.
