DiCaprio and Scorsese are making a movie for Apple

According to the film reporter of Fars News Agency, quoted by varietyMartin Scorsese is making “Shipwrecked” with the theme of treasure and rebellion and betrayal starring Leonardo DiCaprio for Apple.

Martin Scorsese and Leonardo DiCaprio, who are on the verge of production on their upcoming movie “Full Moon Killers”, have started a new project at Apple Original Films.

Scorsese is making a film adaptation of New Yorker journalist David Grenn’s non-fiction book, The Bet: A Story of Shipwreck, Rebellion and Murder, for Apple. Grahn is also the author of The Full Moon Murders, an Osage murder series that took place in the 1920s, as well as The Lost City of Zedd and The Death of Sherlock Holmes.

The Bet, due out next April, tells the story of the British naval ship of the same name in the 1700s. During a secret mission to recover a ship full of Spanish treasure, it sinks and its crew perishes on a deserted island off the coast of Patagonia.

After that, on the deserted island, the troops start a rebellion and chaos arises among the troops and commanders, and the story progresses to the point where they are saved and return to their country and face severe punishment in a court.
