Did FIFA warn the Iranian Football Federation again?

According to Mehr’s reporter, the issue of the constitution of Iran Football Federation has become a permanent and unsolvable issue. While the federation intends to be known as a non-governmental and non-profit organization, this independence has been questioned due to the non-approval of the constitution in the parliament and the challenge between the parties.

FIFA has repeatedly warned that the government should not interfere in the football federation, but the complications of this issue continue. Currently, the Football Federation considers itself a non-governmental, non-profit and independent institution based on the decision of the Administrative Court of Justice, but the parliament has not yet submitted.

Mehdi Taj, the former president of the Football Federation, who is also one of the candidates for the presidency of this federation, said in this regard: A letter has come for the constitution. I know that another letter has arrived. We must interact with the parliament. It cannot be done without interaction with the parliament and the government. The government and parliament are united and it is a good opportunity to solve the problem of the statute.

Taj, who is also one of the vice presidents of the Asian Football Confederation, continued: “If this problem is not solved, they will make trouble for us.”

He emphasizes that FIFA’s lack of action on the constitution of the Football Federation is due to the holding of the World Cup and is temporary. Taj said: If there is silence, it is because of the World Cup, because they want the “fair play” of the World Cup not to be disturbed. I say as an informed person. We have to make changes in the constitution.
