According to Mehr news agency, quoted by Al-Nashrah website, Mohammad Khair, head of Lebanon’s Supreme Relief Council, emphasized in response to a question that the matter of importing fuel from Iran needs the approval of government officials, which, considering the current situation in Lebanon, Najib Miqati’s approval. The prime minister is required to form the government.

On the other hand, Walid Fayyaz, Minister of Energy in the Government of Lebanon, emphasized in a conversation with Al-Jhumorieh newspaper: Lebanon urgently needs electricity.

He described the issue of drawing maritime borders between Lebanon and the Zionist regime as well as oil and gas extraction by the government as an important matter and said: In the meeting on Sunday next week with Amos Hochstein (American mediator) I will tell him that the issue of drawing maritime borders for The future of Lebanon is important, because we have an urgent need for electricity and we do not have time to wait another year on this sensitive and vital issue.

He added: There is a golden opportunity for Lebanon to obtain its oil and gas rights, we must solve the basic need for electricity.

In another development, the Lebanese newspaper Al-Anba wrote in a report: Amos Hochstein’s trip to Beirut on Sunday is actually a borderline between reaching an agreement or exploding the situation!

In this report, it is stated that this trip will ultimately determine the status of drawing the maritime borders between Lebanon and the Zionist regime, and for this reason, it is very important.
