The Vice President of Legal and Customs Supervision regarding the discovery of this large shipment stated: Following the attention of the Presidential Anti-Narcotics Headquarters and other counter-organizations, including the Ministry of Information, regarding the expansion of professional embedding of industrial drugs, especially glass in commercial vehicles. and personal, all kinds of commercial goods and especially empty tankers imported from Afghanistan, the issue has been seriously and especially on the agenda of the official authorities of the country and with the grace of God, while taking advantage of the minimum available facilities, it was found that in the section 540 kg of glass narcotics were professionally embedded under the tanker truck entering from Afghanistan at Mahirud Customs, and while investigating the matter, the truck was seized and the discovered materials were seized along with the driver’s license of the accused issued from Afghanistan, passport, international certificate, etc. for legal procedures. It has been provided to the judicial authorities and the representative of the South Khorasan Province Intelligence Department.
He stated: The report received from Mahirod Customs in South Khorasan indicates that the trainer of the sniffer dogs of this customs, while performing his duties yesterday morning and during the control and inspection of a white Benz Actros tanker truck, was driving. Taking into account the risk indicators and the optimal use of the sniffer dog, the Afghan citizen managed to discover the professional embedding of 540 kilos and 700 grams of glass from this truck.
Zabidi said: In this professional and very delicate discovery, the smugglers had 535 packages containing narcotics in the form of specially designed long packages and placed them in the spaces below the tanker, which were cut by cutting, welding and grinding machines. He added: The cargo, trucks, drugs, all the documents along with the accused were delivered to the representatives of the General Intelligence Department of South Khorasan Province after coordination.
Zabeidi said: In total, 1,118 kilos and 800 grams of glass were discovered from the inside of these two trucks.
