He continued: In this regard, from the beginning of this year until now, we have implemented 28 stages of the plan to deal with the dealers and speculators of the currency market throughout the country, during which 259 million types of currency units, including dollars, euros, pounds, liras , dirhams, dinars, etc. were seized from the profiteers.
The head of Faraja Economic Security Police also told ISNA about how many dealers and traders the police dealt with: 151 suspects were arrested during the implementation of these plans. 289 such cases have been filed and dealt with in this regard. Some of those arrested were among the big-name people who had a financial turnover of several billions.
Stating that the implementation of economic security police plans to deal with traders and dealers in the currency market continues, Rahimi said: We recently implemented a plan in this regard in Tehran and several other cities. The implementation of such plans is followed seriously and criminals and violators are dealt with according to the law.
Regarding whether the police supervises the activities of currency traders in the virtual space or not, he said: Police supervision is carried out both in the virtual space and in the real space, and with people who want economic peace both in the virtual space and in the real space. Disturbance will be dealt with. In the implemented plans, some of the arrested criminals were active in cyberspace and some channels, pages and sites, which were identified and arrested with the coordination of the judicial authority.
