Discovery of underground historical structure in Langrod, Gilan

According to Aria Heritage Report, citing the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Gilan Province, Vali Jahani announced this news on Thursday, January 29, 1401, saying: This structure was discovered as a result of the restoration of a more than a hundred-year-old historical building, which has the value of national registration.

Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Gilan stated: Since this structure is located within the old Noghan building, its connection with this historic building is not far from expected.

Jahani said: Due to the archaeological studies in the discovered structure, the implementation of the reconstruction of the building in which the structure was discovered in the basement has been postponed until after the studies are done and until the documentation and archaeological activities are done on the structure regarding the history, age and use of this structure. The structure cannot be commented.

The history of Noghan Dari and the weaving of silk fabrics and silk production in Gilan province is related to the Ilkhani period. More than five thousand historical works have been identified in Gilan, of which one thousand and 218 works have been registered in the national list.
