Dispute between the White House and the US State Department over the Revolutionary Guards! Mehr News Agency Iran and world’s news

According to the Mehr news agency, the Zionist newspaper Haaretz reported in a report on Tuesday that the occupying regime in Jerusalem has intensified its pressure on Washington on the eve of announcing the US decision on the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in Vienna to lift sanctions.

According to the newspaper, Israeli regime officials are preparing for important events related to the Vienna talks this week (local time). Biden is scheduled to announce in the coming days his decision to keep or remove the IRGC from the list of so-called “terrorist” organizations.

The report goes on to add that White House officials agree with keeping the Revolutionary Guards’s name on the list of so-called “terrorist” organizations; US State Department officials disagree.

The report added that in recent weeks, the Zionist regime has led a campaign in Washington to prevent the IRGC from being removed from the list of so-called “foreign terrorist organizations” (FTOs); Following the incident, some White House officials said they would stand by the regime and demand that the IRGC be retained on the list; But State Department officials have a different view.

It is worth mentioning that in 2009, in a hostile act, Washington included the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps in the list of “foreign terrorist organizations” (FTO).

The dispute between the White House and the State Department over the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps comes as the Washington Free Bacon website recently announced that a number of Republican lawmakers in the US Congress are seeking to block a possible move by passing a bill. The government of President Joe Biden to remove the Revolutionary Guards from the imaginary list of “terrorism”.

Washington Free Bacon said in a statement that a copy of the proposal by Brian Mast and Scott Perry, two Republican members of the US House of Representatives, had reached the site, suggesting that the Biden administration might try to repeal it. IRGC-related sanctions will be avoided if an agreement is reached with Tehran in connection with the Vienna Summit (aimed at lifting anti-Iranian sanctions).

The bill, if passed, would bar the White House from removing the IRGC from the list of alleged foreign terrorist organizations without congressional approval.

It is worth mentioning that the eighth round of the Vienna talks, which started last year in this city with the presence of Iran and the remaining countries in the UN Security Council, has been sabotaged by the United States. The Islamic Republic of Iran has repeatedly stated that it will never back down on Tehran’s national interests.
