Distrust of the government is the main problem of supplying electric car parts – Tejaratnews

According to Tejarat News, the most important concern of scientists and even industrialists in the new century is to find a suitable alternative to fossil fuels. Although now the world’s automotive industry has moved towards electrification, the supply of electric car parts, including in Iran, has become another concern for manufacturers. Especially, the bad promises of different governments have caused Iranian component manufacturers to look for extra-governmental guarantees for the production of these components, which naturally require new and higher costs.
Another point in the use of alternative fuels is that solar cells can be used for fixed places such as production, commercial and residential units, but in the field of transportation, where speed and power are its two main elements, these cells are not responsible.
Electricity is known as a clean and affordable energy and the best option for this field, but it should be used in a stored form for the transportation field.
In addition, used equipment in this field, which is called electrical waste, especially batteries, are also a problem for themselves. Today, almost all car manufacturing companies have launched their electric car production line and are looking to move their main production towards this car model in the field of automobiles.
Lack of electricity and electric car production
While the Peugeot 405 of the 1970s is still being produced in Iran, the Ministry of Security and two state-owned car manufacturers have announced that they are looking to produce an electric car.
This is due to the fact that these cars need electric stations for charging, each of which is a small power plant. The next point is that if fossil fuel is to be used to supply electricity to these power plants, there will not be much change in the air pollution situation.
On the other hand, this year’s electricity shortage seriously hampered the country’s production. So that the production units did not have electricity for at least two days a week in the second quarter of the year.
Ali Kolahi, the head of the Kabul Producers’ Association, in a conversation with Tejarat News, stated that the reason for the lack of electricity is lack of investment in this field and sanctions; Now the question arises, which of these problems has been solved as the government seeks to add new electricity consumers?
However, considering the behavior of the government, eradicating absolute poverty within a month to the annual construction of one million houses, controlling inflation and liquidity, it can be assumed that the mass production of electric cars will also be added to this list.
The need for a 20-year document to supply electric car parts
Arash Mohebinejad, the secretary of Homogeneous Parts Makers Association, in a conversation with Tejarat News about the readiness of parts makers to produce and supply electric car parts, pointed to the previous behavior and commitments of the government and said: First, a 20-year vision document must be approved, which mentions that security Investment in this area is guaranteed. If for any reason the government decides to change this document or interrupt its schedule, the investor’s losses must be compensated.
He continued: State car manufacturers must guarantee the purchase of manufactured parts. Now there is a concern that despite the conditions of sanctions and economic recession, the investor will import machinery at a higher cost than usual to bypass the sanctions, bring special raw materials for these parts to the country, and suddenly the government will decide to delay the production of this model of cars. or change the conditions. So, we need a series of guarantees in this regard, which by the way are also foreseen in the law and are not new.
He explained about the activities carried out for the production and supply of electric car parts: a series of general discussions have been conducted and several special parts of these cars have been made in the scope of research and prototyping, most of which have been done in the parts manufacturing units belonging to car manufacturers. A series of parts such as suspension system, lights and interior decorations that do not change are called carry over. That is, they are common between electric and internal combustion vehicles. These parts are now produced inside the country, but the drive system and gearbox will be completely changed, and for the first stage, it is necessary to import them so that internalization can take place.
Mohibinejad further explained: Hybrid car technology is much more complicated than electric or internal combustion cars, and it is better to go directly to the production of electric cars. This change is inevitable and from now on we should seek to provide infrastructure and charging stations and create a wide battery supply network throughout the country and supply parts. At the same time, it should be kept in mind that battery waste itself is a global problem and should be thought about.
The statement of the secretary of Homogeneous Components Association comes while Minister Sammat unveiled domestic electric cars at the exhibition of the government’s achievements, and several electric charging stations were built throughout the city during the government week. The launch of these electric stations from Bait-ul-Mal took place while there is still no detailed and timed plan for the production of electric cars and no importer is looking to import electric cars.
