Diversification, a strategy for urban tourism development

Shalbafian pointed out that there is another ancient Kashan in the eastern axis of Isfahan and asked the Tourism Commission of the Chamber of Commerce to organize its activities in such a way that the people of the eastern and western axes of Isfahan also enjoy tourism development and their unique capacities.
He continued: “We will appreciate any city that takes steps to produce appropriate content in the field of tourism, and of course, a perception of development should be transferred to the mind of the audience of the produced content and include other areas of tourism.”
“Tourism before Corona was also damaged, and the way to sustain tourism is to diversify the target market, because every city cares about the diversity of tourism and does not rely solely on its historical and heritage attractions,” he said. “It has suffered less damage.”
Shalbafian expressed hope that tourism would be revived with the vaccination, saying, “Currently, the path to development is through strengthening domestic and inland tourism, and the government is working to take action in this area.”
“The point that was approved at the Corona headquarters is to support official tourism facilities, so that with the cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, first and preferably apply for a visa through travel agencies and stay in official facilities,” he explained.
“I hope that the working group of the creative travel headquarters will be formed with the support of the Isfahan governor’s office and the follow-up of the managers, and that the projects will not be abandoned,” he said.
“The Ministry of Cultural Heritage has proposed the establishment of a World Tourism and Handicrafts Center to the World Tourism Organization, and the plan has been initially accepted,” Shalbafian said.
The meeting was also attended by the governor, the mayor, some members of the city council and activists in the tourism sector of Isfahan.
