Documentary Network Appreciation for a lifetime of Javad Ensafi’s artistic activity – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to the Mehr news agency, quoting the public relations of the documentary network, the ceremony of protecting Javad Ensafi, a theater, television and cinema actor, and unveiling the documentary “Shadiban”, a new production of the documentary network directed and produced by Abolfazl Tavakoli, was attended by a group of cinema artists. And the theater was held in Arasbaran Cultural Center. In this protection ceremony, figures such as Reza Bafshehkhah, Atash Taghipour and Javad Insafi were present.

At the ceremony, Abolfazl Tavakoli, director of the documentary “Shadiban”, referring to the making of a film about Javad Ensafi, said: “Personally, I am very interested in traditional performing arts, and my peers have many memories of many of the works that Mr. Javad Ensafi did on television.”

Referring to Javad Insafi’s role in many traditional Iranian plays from the past to the present, he said: When I remembered Master Insafi, I thought to myself how good it would be to make a documentary about him. It was in 1399 that I talked to him for the first time and raised this issue. The same kindness that can be seen in his actions was also present in his words and speech. He agreed, but said it would be better to wait until the theaters opened and be able to record part of the documentary in the theaters.

The documentary continued: “Accordingly, we waited for a while until theaters resumed their activities due to the decline of the Corona virus epidemic, and we immediately started producing the documentary ‘Shadiban’.”

Regarding the naming of this documentary, Tavakoli said: “In the very first days when I received my first interviews with Mr. Insafi, I subconsciously came up with the name ‘Shadiban’, because he is a person who learned traditional ritual plays and passed them on to the next generations at the university.” It is very important that he translates these lessons into books and his books have become an important reference for teaching in the country’s universities. That’s why I named the film “Happy” because it protects our happiness.

Complaining about the difficult situation of the theater people, the documentary filmmaker emphasized: “Unfortunately, we have material poverty in the theater, but professors such as Mr. Banafshehkhah, Atash Taghipour, Insafi, etc. really work hard for this theatrical art.” I think the mezzanine at the end of the film is a good indication that our theater needs more support.

Atash Taghipour, another TV and theater actor, the speaker of this meeting, said in a speech: Javad Insafi has a very kind personality. Not only does he feel sorry for those around him, he is also kind to those he sees for the first time and guides them. He cares about everyone and this behavior is very valuable to me. Javad Ensafi, in addition to being a capable artist, is also a noble and compassionate human being who wants good for all, while other people may only think of themselves.

The TV and theater actor stated: Mr. Ensafi has raised children who are all artists and are active in various fields of music, acting, etc. Sometimes I feel that Javad Insafi’s life is long and he will never leave us because his children keep the light on and continue this energetic path.

In another part of his speech, Taghipour said: Javad Insafi is an artist who always thinks about his people and likes to make them laugh. Of course, this laughter is not alone, but in his plays, he has a very eloquent language about issues, criticizes and makes points that many artists may not have the power to express. Note that humor is both a drink and a bite, and if we remove one of them, it loses its function.

Javad Ensafi stated at the end of the ceremony: I am happy to be in the intimate gathering of the great artists of the country and I am happy that Mr. Tavakoli made a documentary about me. He worked hard for this.

He added: “All my efforts over the years have been to make everyone happy and to bring happiness to all Iranians.” I must say that in the last 12 years, I have not accepted anything that is not happy.

In the final part of the ceremony, with the presence of Reza Banafshehkhah, Atash Taghipour and Abolfazl Tavakoli, a lifetime of Javad Ensafi’s artistic activity was appreciated and a statue of the documentary network was awarded to this artist.
