Documentary television festival goes to all cities/ strange feedbacks of the works – Mehr news agency Iran and world’s news

Yaser Faryadars, the Deputy Director of the Documentary Network, told Mehr reporter about this period of the Documentary Television Festival, the end of which will be held today, December 18, with the presence of Peyman Jabali, the head of Sedavasima, in Asalouye. “Documentary series” we put a prize that was not there before. The series of documentaries are a feature of television work and we had judges in this field who all had experience in the field of television work so that they could use this experience to select such a series.

Faryadars also said about the voting of popular documentaries despite internet restrictions: despite the restrictions on the voting space, the feedback was very good and the people still welcomed it and we received a significant vote from the people.

He also stated about the quality of the works of this period of the festival: for the judges, this volume of high-quality works in the festival was significant and they acknowledged that works of high standard could be seen in the festival and said that the most serious competition between documentaries was in this period of the festival. Especially if each of these works were in separate festivals and could have had a special chance, and now they are all gathered in one festival.

Faryadars further said about the televising of documentaries in this festival and the benefits it can bring to the documentary makers: The feature of the TV festival is the feedback they get after showing their works, and these feedbacks were very interesting for the documentary makers as well. Many of the works that we broadcast on TV in this festival were aired for the first time, or many of the directors had no experience of broadcasting their works on TV, and after the broadcast of their works, this amount of feedback was very strange for them, and they said that North to south of the country and east to west have contacted them and even raised some points.

He added: They have seen the impact of their work even in social subjects and were surprised that their works were able to have a social function. This is a unique thing that happens in television broadcasting, and in these 2 months when the documentaries were aired, they received feedback that was far from their expectations.

In the end, Faryadars said about the choice of Asalouye to hold the closing ceremony of the festival: This year, for the first time, we tried to distance ourselves from Tehran, and we intend to not only focus on Tehran every year, but everywhere in the country, the documentary festival will be the guest of the good people of our country, and for this reason We came to Asalouye. Our goal is to actively use the provincial capacities of other provinces and cities.
