“Drive My Car” became the best film of the National Film Critics Association of America

Theater News Base: “Drive My Car” won the National Film Critics Association Award for Best Picture and added another award to the long list of major awards it has received from critics.
Ryosuke Hamaguchi’s Japanese drama has previously won Best Picture at the Los Angeles Film Critics Association and the New York Film Critics Circle.
“Drive My Car” also won the Best Director, Best Screenplay and Best Actor award for Hidtoshi Nishijima from the National Critics Association.
In the category of the best film after “Drive My Car” with 48 points, “Little Mom” and “Dog Power” became the second and third winners and received 25 and 23 votes, respectively.
The films “West Side Story”, “Dog Power” and “Little Mom” were among the main nominees in several main categories.
Ryosuke Hamaguchi became the best director with 46 votes, and Jane Campion was chosen as the second and third directors for “Dog Power” and Celine Siama for “Little Mom” with 36 and 28 votes, respectively.
