E-commerce Development Center’s request to the Central Bank: Legislate the field of digital currencies faster

Amin Kolahdozan, the head of the e-commerce development center, in a letter to the vice president of new technologies of the central bank, asked him to speed up the decision-making and formulation of regulations for the areas of digital currency and landtech (internet lending platforms) in order to use the technical capacity and innovation of the mentioned companies. It is possible to create a ground for reducing illegal activities.

In the current situation, due to the lack of a specific law for cryptocurrency and landtech activists, it is difficult to issue this material for the activists of these two sectors; Although the e-commerce development center has solved the problem of some Landtech companies that are parties to the banks’ contracts, not all of them are able to receive the e-commerce symbol.
The Central Bank and the Electronic Commerce Development Center agreed with each other in the summer of 1400 to place activities such as landtechs and cryptocurrencies under the heading of “other financial areas” and temporarily issue them with the approval of the Central Bank. Now, the Electronic Commerce Development Center has asked the Central Bank to declare its position regarding these sectors as soon as possible, considering the agreement and the impact of these sectors in the digital economy.
In this letter, it is mentioned that the e-commerce development center has so far implemented the unstarred IMD, provided a web service for the automatic award of the IMD, and granted the IMD to the marketplace platforms in the form of a subdomain to solve the problem of the businesses active in this sector.
