Early release of Apple’s new 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2 chip

Apparently, Apple’s new 13-inch MacBook Pro with M2 chip will enter the market earlier than scheduled. It was only a few days ago that this new laptop, along with the redesigned MacBook Air, was introduced by Apple during the WWDC event. Apple announced at the time that both laptops were due to launch in July (mid-July), but that timing seems to have changed slightly.

The new MacBook Air may also be released sooner than announced

Apple already orders 13-inch MacBook Pro M2 Accepts. The laptop, along with the new MacBook Air, has been on display in Apple’s online store since its unveiling at WWDC 2022, but has not been available for purchase. The new MacBook Pro starts at $ 1,299 and features an M2 chip with an eight-core processor and a 10-core GPU with 8GB of integrated storage and 256GB of SSD memory. This product is available in silver or gray color and will be sent to buyers on June 23 (July 2).

Apple’s new MacBook Air with the M2 is not yet available for order, but with Apple’s decision to sell the new MacBook Pro, the situation for the MacBook Air could change at any moment. Starting at $ 1,199, the system offers a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display, an eight-core CPU, an eight-core GPU, 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD.

The benchmark results for the new M2-equipped Macs were also leaked earlier this week. Geekbench tests show little improvement on the CPU side compared to the M1 (only 11% faster in single-strand testing and 18% better in multi-strand testing). But everything was more impressive on the GPU side, and this is probably the result of the two extra GPU cores found in some M2 models.
