East Mazandaran, rich but not poor!

The development path of Mazandaran province is known with 2 advantages of agriculture and tourism and is policy-made by senior provincial managers; In the meantime, East Mazandaran is facing several challenges to achieve development goals, such as plain water stress and the lack of a comprehensive and codified tourism program. Experts, by dramatically describing the existing talents and capacities, believe that East Mazandaran, if given special attention and attention, can cover the development goals of the province.

Neka, Behshahr and Gulogah counties with various agricultural and tourism capacities in the east of Mazandaran province have numerous and diverse talents and capacities. Of course, considering all these aspects, East Mazandaran suffers from water stress. Given these environmental problems and the lack of water resources in the east of the province, it seems that prioritization should be drawn to the development of tourism or agriculture, or that the proper management of these resources and capital should be the top priority. In this regard, we considered the opinion of a tourism and agriculture expert.

A tourism expert and university professor, on the question that sustainable development according to the priorities of East Mazandaran is tourism or agriculture, said: Mazandaran province in this regard should be seen as a whole, in tourism in each of the western parts and East, central, north and south of the province has its own tourism potential, but the west has received more attention due to the proximity of mountains and sea.

In an interview with ISNA, Mohammad Reza Ormazdi said about the reasons for the development of tourism in West Mazandaran: “West Mazandaran has territorial and special features, and these features along with these various tourism facilities and the existence of various recreational facilities and a special climate have made it welcome guests every year.” Be internal and external.

Ormazdi stated the strategies for the development of tourism in East Mazandaran as follows: The tourism industry has more than 80 trends in the world, but what happens in Mazandaran must be simultaneous. Province run. The number of agricultural spaces, the number of orchards and the number of rice fields due to the vastness of the land in the center of Mazandaran and East Mazandaran can lead to the simultaneous development of tourism and agriculture, and these two categories are not in conflict.

He introduced East Mazandaran with a unique atmosphere in farm tourism, nature tourism, sports tourism, health and medical tourism and especially religious tourism according to the west-east corridor to visit the court of the eighth Shiite Imam and added: the development of religious tourism can be International dimensions should also be considered in the Shiite world that can be used and planned.

Ormazdi called the continuation of tourism development as creating a balance between infrastructure resources and human resources and said: “It is appropriate to have a balanced development, that is, a development based on land management, and this development leads to sustainable development.” Consider environmental and land use planning, environmental resource issues, and the balanced distribution of population over resources.

This researcher and lecturer of university tourism, stating that in Mazandaran should not have an island view of tourism, said: The infrastructure and capabilities of western Mazandaran go back to the years before the revolution and this long history in the geography of western Mazandaran as a jewel Tourism has been introduced, but the cities of central and eastern Mazandaran and even Sari can be introduced in agricultural tourism, especially farm tourism.

East Mazandaran

But Aristotle Abbasian, PhD in Plant Physiology and a member of the faculty of Sari University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, believes that both categories are very important; In Mazandaran province, a large part of fertile lands is located in the east of the province and important agricultural products such as oilseeds of rapeseed, cotton, sunflower and dozens of other plants are cultivated in it. The high tourism capacities of East Mazandaran, the oil counterpart, can also generate income, especially since it has many spectacular and historical monuments.

In an interview with ISNA, Abbasian told the infrastructure of the tourism industry: “A tourist goes to a place where he has all the facilities. Our country, due to its beliefs, creates a series of restrictions for tourists, but with planning.” Managers and officials of the country can create significant employment and income in the tourism sector.

Referring to the field of agriculture and its importance, he added: “Agriculture can be activated in such a way that it is possible to use livestock and agricultural products and all potentials at the same time, but each has its place.”

The faculty member of Sari University of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources emphasized the participation of the private sector and said: “In the agricultural sector, due to rising product prices and the fact that our country is an importer of important products such as oil and cereals, there are challenges that can be observed.” Instead, increase the value and importance of the agricultural sector.

In response to the question whether the East Mazandaran plain is suffering from water stress and whether agriculture can still be effective, Abbasian clarified: the problem of water shortage through the use of resistant cultivars, shifting the growing season, construction of greenhouses and many other solutions It can be largely eliminated.

East Mazandaran

But after examining agriculture and tourism, we asked a doctor of economics with a focus on politics and development what the optimal solution is. The professor of Mazandaran University of Science and Technology stated: One-dimensional do not know. In the category of development, to look to one side and choose an axis is in contrast to development.

In an interview with ISNA, Mehdi Beshartadeh Solouti, while pointing out that what leads to one dimension grows into a concept, clarified: “Development itself considers all aspects and does not lead to one dimension.” Therefore, for the east of the province, considering the field of industry, agriculture and tourism, I believe industry is the center of development, agriculture-oriented development and tourism can bear the burden of development of East Mazandaran.

Regarding the unknown capacities in the tourism and industry sectors, Beshartadeh said: “We have many capabilities in the field of industry: coastal companies, Amirabad port, industrial towns, as well as technical and professional units that exist.” It has increased our industrial capabilities, both in the field of mining and in the field of industry, capabilities that are still unused due to the towns located in the region and the port of Amirabad.

He added: in agriculture, due to the altitude of 2000 to 2500 meters, which is located in the mountainous part of the city, the development capabilities of medicinal plants are more visible, and in the plain, the ability to cultivate crops including wheat, wheat, canola, rice and citrus There are times when we do not get the most out of this capacity.

This researcher and doctor of economics, with a focus on politics and development, said about the traditional and industrial view of the various capacities of East Mazandaran: “Transformation industries related to the agricultural sector have not been established in East Mazandaran and have not created added value for agriculture. Industrial. Therefore, if we understand the importance of this issue, we can put agriculture as the axis of development.

Besharatdeh emphasized on the transparent development of tourism in East Mazandaran and said: Capabilities in the field of tourism such as historical buildings, ecotourism, rural areas, rituals and ceremonies that are held in the village on the occasion of products or the discussion of harvest, introduction of handicrafts And all of these together can create a clear horizon in the east of Mazandaran, which unfortunately we have been unaware of and have not benefited from so far.
