Explaining the details of last night’s meeting, Sheikhan said: “The Cement Association was instructed to act in coordination with the Ministry of Energy and the CEOs of cement factories to manage production in each region.”

He continued: in this regard, holding expert meetings with the presence of managers of regional electricity companies and CEOs of cement factories covered by each region is on the agenda.

* There is no supply-side inflammation in the cement market

Referring to the results of coordination between the cement industry and the electricity industry, the secretary of the Cement Industry Employers Association said: “According to the coordination, market management is on the agenda and the market for this strategic product will not face any inflammation from the supply side.”

Sheikhan concluded: “The meaning of this coordination is that the electricity needed to maintain cement production and market management is included in the consumption management program of this product.”
