In the meantime, since the implementation of the empty house tax law last year, there have been criticisms of the process of collecting tax from empty houses from the way of identifying and collecting tax from these houses.

According to this report, according to the empty house tax law approved in December of last year, if a residential unit in cities with more than 100,000 inhabitants is uninhabited for more than 120 days, it will be subject to tax, and for every month beyond the mentioned time, it will be subject to tax on a monthly basis. The tax base on rental income will be based on the coefficients of the first year equal to six times the tax due, the second year equal to 12 times the tax due, and the third year onwards equal to 18 times the tax due.
In the meantime, the task of identifying empty houses has been assigned to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development through the Real Estate and Housing System, and this ministry, by launching the Real Estate and Housing System, registered the residential information of people and those who could not provide this information within the set deadline. to register, their house was introduced to the tax affairs organization by the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development as a vacant lot.
