According to Mehr News Agency, Enrique Mora, EU Deputy Foreign Minister, announced his meeting with Anwar Gargash, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates.

Earlier, the media reported on the imminent visit of the UAE National Security Adviser to Iran on an unprecedented trip.
The Emirati news website quoted an informed source in Abu Dhabi as saying that Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan will leave for Iran next week for consultations.
“The visit comes as former UAE Foreign Minister Anwar Gargash has previously stated that his country has taken steps to defuse tensions with Iran and that the UAE has no interest in confronting Iran,” Waves Media reported. The upcoming visit of the UAE National Security Adviser follows his recent meetings with senior US officials and takes place on the eve of the Vienna talks.
Iran recently agreed to start talks on the lifting of illegal and inhumane sanctions on December 8 in Vienna, stressing that the goal of the talks is not just to talk, but to reach a tangible agreement and respect for mutual interests.
Tehran emphasizes that as a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency, it has the right to acquire nuclear technology for peaceful purposes.
