Erdogan hopes the United States, Russia, Iran and Turkey can work together for peace in Syria and Iraq.

According to Sputnik, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan hopes that the United States, Russia, Iran and Turkey can work together to bring peace to Syria and Iraq. The Turkish leader made the remarks in an interview with CBS television on Sunday.

“I hope the United States, Russia, Iran and Turkey, both in Syria and in Iraq, can work together collectively for peace for the people of these regions,” he said.

The Turkish president was also asked if he intended to discuss the situation in Syria during talks with Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Sochi on September 29. “We are talking to Putin about these issues,” Erdogan replied.
