According to Mehr News Agency, “Rajb Tayyab Erdogan, the President of Turkey, in a detailed conversation with the networkT.R.TThis country said about the achievements of its recent trip to Tehran that Ankara will increase the purchase of oil and gas from Iran.
He stated that “eight important agreements were signed between Iran and Turkey” during his visit to Tehran and added: “Our bilateral and commercial cooperation with Iran will continue.” We plan to increase the purchase of oil and gas from Iran. During the trip to Tehran, we agreed to increase trade relations to 30 billion dollars.
He further said: Unfortunately, due to the spread of the Corona epidemic, trade relations between the two countries have decreased to 7 billion dollars. In Tehran, in addition to the summit, the ministers of the two countries also held various meetings.
The President of Turkey also emphasized: We have a new decision to increase trade exchanges between the two countries. Taking steps in the field of energy can speed up this process.
The President of Turkey came to Tehran on July 28 to participate in the tripartite meeting of the heads of the countries guaranteeing the ceasefire in Syria (Iran, Russia and Turkey) and met and talked with senior Iranian officials on the sidelines of the meeting.
