Esmaili: We are ready to standardize 500 educational halls for showing movies

According to the Fars news agency, Mohammad Mehdi Esmaili, referring to the strategic and operational issues of Zeng Cinema, said in the recent meeting of the Supreme Council of Cinema: It was decided that we will summarize and communicate the implementation and operational solutions of the issue in the Supreme Council of Education.
The member of the Supreme Council of Education explained about the follow-up of this idea: With the discussions we had, the Minister of Education is trying to follow up the implementation of this plan in the shortest possible time.
He went on to say that the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance is ready to help standardize 500 educational halls for showing movies so that these halls can be added to the Zang cinema screening cycle.
Esmaili continued: “Negotiations are underway for the standardization of halls, we started this work in Tehran and we are ready to implement it in cultural centers as well.”
A member of the Board of Trustees of the Center for Intellectual Development of Children and Adolescents said about getting help from schools in this project: Currently, building an independent cinema is very expensive. Education is ready to add its halls to the standard cycle of cinema halls and we can cooperate with them so that children come to the cinema at least once a season.
Esmaili says about the effect of students’ presence in the cinema: We have 16 million and 700 thousand students this year, if we can add a large part of the audience to the cycle of cinema spectators, a very good trend will be formed in the cinema.
In the end, the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance stated about the status of the conclusion of this memorandum: “Soon, a memorandum of understanding will be concluded in this field so that we can add a part of the main audience of children and teenagers to the audience of cinema, especially films for children and teenagers.” We hope that such decisions will be a guide. So that the flow of production and screening of cinema for children and teenagers will be more prosperous through this channel.
The 35th Isfahan International Film Festival for Children and Adolescents will be held in Isfahan from the 15th to the 20th of this year (October 7 to 12, 2023) under the direction of Majid Zain El Abdin and in collaboration with the Cinema Organization, Farabi Cinema Foundation and Isfahan Municipality.
