Establishing conditions for the export of petroleum products from Abadan port/starting sea voyages from Nowruz 1402

According to the economic correspondent of Fars news agency Kambiz, Malikizadeh stated today on the sidelines of the visit of the media to Abadan and Arvand ports: Arvand port is the closest port in the north of the Persian Gulf to the Persian Gulf. This port is bigger than Abadan and Choebdeh ports and has 26 hectares of land.

The Director of Abadan Ports and Maritime Affairs stated: In this year’s Fajr decade, a 3,000-meter wharf, a 2,000-meter warehouse, and firefighting projects and asphalt coating of the area will be put into operation in the Arvand port.

Malikizadeh announced the capacity of the three ports of Abadan, Arvand and Choebed as two million tons and said: In 9 months of this year, 110 thousand tons of goods were unloaded and loaded in Abadan port.
He continued: “We had 1,200 traditional barge owners. Corona restrictions on trade with neighboring ports such as Iraq and Kuwait caused these barge owners to move to Bushehr and Hormozgan ports in the last two years. There were 30 barges left out of 1,200 barges and in this When I arrived, 130 barges returned to the port.

He stated: The principles of port management include speed, cheapness, and safety. Due to the structure and old form of the barges, they have limitations.
He said: “In the Fajr decade of this year, 4 projects will be put into operation in Arvand Port, including a 2000-meter long warehouse, a 1000-meter wharf post, the Arvand Port Fire Department building, and asphalt coating with a total credit of 250 billion tomans.”

Abadan port and shipping director added: A 2,000-meter warehouse will be opened in Choebde port in the Fajr decade, and including the office building, the investment in this sector will be about 70 billion tomans.
Malikizadeh added: Also, in the form of social responsibility, asphalt coating of the access road to the port was implemented with a credit of 45 billion tomans.
He added: We planned to launch Abadan cruises to Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Emirates and Muscat; in this regard, we expect Abadan cruises to be re-established from Nowruz 1402.

Stating that the conditions for the export of oil products from Abadan refinery through the port will be resumed soon after 40 years, he said in response to Fars reporter’s question that we usually do not have abandoned goods in Abadan port.
