Europe’s claim about the application of “heavy sanctions” against Iran – Mehr News Agency | Iran and world’s news

According to Mehr News Agency, quoted by Reuters, in continuation of the European countries’ clear support for disturbances and unrest in Iran, “Joseph Borrell”, the European Union’s foreign policy official, announced that the European Union will reach an agreement on the imposition of new sanctions against Iran.
This senior European official claimed that this new sanctions package against Iran will be “very heavy”. He also announced that the discussion and investigation of the European authorities about the imposition of new sanctions against Russia is still ongoing.
The meeting of foreign ministers of EU countries to apply new sanctions against Iran and Russia will be held in Brussels today.
Last Thursday, the Bloomberg news agency announced the intention of the European Union to impose new sanctions against Iran in support of the disturbances and also to react to the alleged military aid from Iran to Russia. According to Bloomberg, these sanctions will be applied against more than 30 individuals and institutions.
Bloomberg, quoting informed sources, said that the assets of 21 individuals and institutions will be confiscated due to what is called “suppression of protests” in Iran, and 10 items will be added due to Iran’s alleged sending of drones to Russia.
Western countries claim that Iran is sending drones to Russia for the benefit of military operations in Ukraine. Meanwhile, Moscow and Tehran have repeatedly denied these accusations.
