Everything about changing the working hours of offices/banks and the stock market, what time do they start working?

The working hours of government offices and executive bodies in Tehran have changed again. This change will be applied from Tuesday June 16. But when will the banks and the stock exchange start their activities? What will be the task of public transportation and traffic planning?

According to Tejarat News, the working hours of all offices and executive bodies in Tehran will change from Tuesday, June 16. All employees must be at work from 6:00 a.m. after the mid-June holiday. Before this rule of floating hours, it was possible for managers of offices and organizations to define a time frame for employees to be at their workplace. But with the issuance of a new announcement by the country’s employment organization, this possibility has been canceled. In the recent decree, the working hours of executive bodies, banks, municipalities and other public institutions, without exception, start at 6:00 a.m. from mid-June to mid-September.

This year, with the decision of the parliament, the hours did not change at the beginning of April. But it seems that the concern about the increase in energy consumption and the possibility of outage or the creation of electricity and water rationing conditions have forced the officials to change the working hours of the employees. In the notice of the country’s employment organization, it is also stated that “according to the approval letter of the Council of Ministers regarding the change of working hours during high energy consumption times and the necessity of everyone’s participation, the starting time is 6:00 a.m. without exception from mid-June to mid-September.”

This decision also includes the headquarters units (national-executive agencies) based in Tehran and their employees must also show up at work at 6 am.

What will be the task of banks and stock exchange?

But banks and stock exchange organization have taken two separate procedures in this field. The coordination council of banks has decided that due to the change in the working hours of the offices from June 16, the working hours of their employees will also change in the summer of 1402. Based on this, the working hours of banks’ front lines and headquarters will start from 6:00 a.m. from June 16 to September 15 this year.

Employees of bank branches from Saturday to Wednesday must be at their workplace by 13:30. Customers can also visit the branches from 6:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. for their banking work. On Thursday, the working hours of bank employees are set until 12:30 p.m. and the time period for customers’ presence is 6:30 p.m. until 12:00 p.m.

The working hours of bank staff in Tehran will be from Saturday to Wednesday from 6 to 15 and Wednesday from 6 to 14.

But the stock exchange organization has decided that the working hours of the capital market will not change during these days.

In other words, the Iranian stock market is as usual since Tuesday, June 16, 1402, and there is no change in the trading hours. This means that the trading hours will be 8:45 to 12:30.

Working hours of public transport

But will the working hours of public transportation be changed between June 16 and September 15? In the notice of the country’s employment organization, it was stated: “With the aim of facilitating the movement of citizens, the provision of city and intercity transport fleet services through city trains, buses, taxis and suburban trains will be coordinated in accordance with this change.”

Now, the Ministry of Interior has explained the changes in this field in an announcement. According to this announcement, the working hours of the public transport fleet in Tehran will change from June 16 according to the new working hours of the offices (6 to 13). This procedure will continue until September 15.

Of course, if the working hours of the offices in other cities are at 6 am, this issue also includes them. In this regard, the Deputy Minister of Urban and Rural Development of the Ministry of Interior has ordered the municipalities across the country to change the working hours of the public transport fleet from June 16 according to the new working hours of the departments (6 to 13).

Will the traffic schedule change?

On the other hand, Tasnim news agency has reported that the starting time of the traffic plan in the capital has not changed yet, despite the change in the working hours of the offices, and it is still scheduled to start at 6:30 in the morning and continue until 6:00 in the evening.

In this regard, Seyyed Mojtabi Shafiei, Managing Director of Transport and Traffic Organization of Tehran Municipality, said: Despite the change in the working hours of the offices from June 16, a decision has not yet been made to change the time of the traffic plan and the traffic plan will be implemented as before. .
