Exhibition of hyperrealism and footprints in Tehran Museum of Contemporary Arts / Vice President of Art Affairs of the Ministry of Culture: We are trying to remove hyperrealism from the persecution it has become.


According to Fars news agency, Mahmoud Salari, the deputy of artistic affairs of the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance, said in this ceremony: Jafai becomes a hyperreal style. In art history, it is said that hyperrealism is like photography and the artist has no role in it. But hyperreal should be viewed in the way that it is an alchemy and can be seen in the form of alchemy. In fact, hyperrealism has been persecuted and we are trying to remove hyperreal from the persecution it has been subjected to.

Ebadreza Eslami Kolayi, director of Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, said in this ceremony, referring to the holding of these two exhibitions: We hope to be able to work continuously in a cultural and artistic flow.

Eslami further said: “I am happy that today we are hosting Dr. Jamshid Naseri, the surviving wife of Manijeh Mir Emadi, who donated the precious works they had collected from the art field to the Tehran Museum of Contemporary Arts. In this event, Jamal Arabzadeh, curator of the exhibition “Hyperrealism: From Image to Reality” and Amir Rad, consultant and art expert, presented reports about these two exhibitions.

In the continuation of the ceremony, Jamshid Naseri was honored with a plaque for donating the works of Manijeh Mir Emadi’s collection to Tehran Museum of Contemporary Arts.
696 works from the collection collected by Manijeh Miremadi and Jamshid Naseri were donated to Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art in 2019, and 121 works from this collection were given to Kerman Museum of Contemporary Industrial Art in 1400.

In the exhibition “Hyperrealism: From Image to Reality”, which is a review of postmodern works from the collection of the Museum of Contemporary Arts in Tehran, 33 works are displayed, and in the exhibition “The Footsteps-Drag on the Relationship between the Artist and the World Around”, 29 foreign works and 54 Iranian works from the museum’s collection are on display. It is set to continue until the fourth of July.

This exhibition was attended by artists such as Abbas Mashhadizadeh, Taher Sheikh Al-Hukmai, Mohammad Reza Firouzaei, Saeed Moirizadeh, Hossein Nowrozi, Daoud Bagheri, Minou Asaadi, Mojdeh Tabatabai, Javad Bakhtiari, Sadaqat Jabari, Behnam Kamrani, Arman Stepanian, Mohammad Reza Moreidi, Amir Maziar, Dariush Hosseini, Ruhollah Shamsizadeh, Kamiyar Sadeghi and… were inaugurated.
