“Expediency” goes to the United States / murder charge in the case of the son of an official
The movie “Expediency” directed by Hossein Darabi went to the “Myrtle Beach” International Film Festival in the United States.
Theater News Base: The film “Expediency” directed by Hossein Darabi and produced by Mohammad Reza Shafa, which is a joint production of Ouj Arts and Media Organization and Soureh Hozeh Honari Cinema Organization, will be screened in the competition section of the 17th International Myrtle Beach Festival.
The festival will be held from April 19 to 23, equivalent to April 30 to May 5 this year in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
“Expediency” is the first production of Hossein Darabi, who was nominated in 7 categories in the 39th Fajr Film Festival and won the honorary diploma for the best director of the first film.
Farhad Ghaemian, Vahid Rahbani, Mehdi Hosseini Nia, Majid Norouzi, Amir Norouzi, Sehi Banoo Zolghadr and Nazanin Farahani are the actors of this movie.
The synopsis of the movie “Expediency” states: “The revolution of 1957 has just won.” The son of a senior official in the Iranian judiciary’s revolutionary system is arrested in a suspicious clash that results in the death of an opponent of the revolution. “Now the son’s case must be pursued in a system in which the father has power.”
