According to the Arya Heritage report, citing the public relations of the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of West Azerbaijan, Murad Fathi, the Director General of Prison Affairs of the province, met with Morteza Safari, the Director General of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Crafts of West Azerbaijan on 28 December 1401.

Safari stated: In order to better support the prisoners active in the field of handicrafts, it is necessary to form a cooperative with their presence, and a booth for the sale of their handicraft products will be considered at the Tehran International Exhibition.

The Director General of Prisons Affairs of West Azerbaijan also said in this meeting: We are ready to cooperate with the General Directorate of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts in the field of education and job creation in the field of handicrafts for prisoners.

Murad Fathi added: “An advanced handicraft workshop has been set up in the prison for the prisoners, and 300 people are working in this workshop in various fields of wood arts, rug weaving, carpet weaving, etc.
