Explanations of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage about Zarghami’s statements regarding the positive effect of “hijab” on foreign tourism

According to the Arya Heritage report and quoted by ILNA, Hasan Maithami, Director General of Public Relations of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, regarding Seyed Ezzatullah Zarghami’s recent interview with ILNA about the effect of hijab on tourism, gave the following explanations:
“Mr. Engineer Zarghami’s response to the reporter’s question was that there are videos that promote hijab in historical monuments or take legal measures at the entrance of museums to ensure that the hijab law is observed in the country.
He definitely did not mean that publishing videos that contain negative interactions is a tourist attraction.
In the following, it is stated again that compliance with the approvals of the headquarters of modesty and hijab in the country will not have a negative effect on foreign tourism, and as in the past, foreign tourists are required to comply with the hijab law.
