UN Special Representative for Syria Geer Pedersen expressed hope that tomorrow’s meeting between Vladimir Putin and Russian and Turkish Presidents Recep Tayyip Erdogan could help stabilize Syria.

According to Sputnik, Russian and Turkish Presidents Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet in the Kremlin tomorrow, September 29, in Sochi. The developments in Syria, Afghanistan, Libya and the South Caucasus are among the topics discussed. It will be a meeting.

“I hope that tomorrow’s meeting between Putin and Erdogan will emphasize the importance of maintaining lasting peace and stability in Syria, which, as I hope, can contribute to the ceasefire in this country, and therefore we,” he said. “Let the political process move forward and let the government and the opposition start negotiations.”

“We attach great importance to the talks with Mr. Putin in Sochi on September 29,” Erdogan told reporters in the United States.
