Face ID under the display will come to the iPhone as early as 2025

Apple brought the Face ID security system to iPhones with Notch, and last year decided to put this system in the display hole in iPhone Pro models. However, many are waiting to remove this design style and move Face ID under the display. Now, a new report says that Face ID will be added to iPhones in 2025 or later.
One of the prominent analysts of the display world named “Ross Young” has claimed that we should wait for the Face ID system parts to be transferred under the display in 2025 as soon as possible. Given Yang’s decent record of reporting on displays, it’s likely that his latest statement is also true.
Face ID under the display in iPhone 17 Pro?
Yang previously said that the first iPhone with Face ID under the screen would arrive in 2024, but now in New tweet It has been claimed that this date has been delayed due to sensor problems and that we will face this technology in 2025 at the earliest. With that said, the iPhone 17 Pro is likely to be the first iPhone with Face ID hidden under the display, though we’ll still likely see a hole for the selfie camera.
Yang’s prediction contrasts with a report by Korean media The Elec, which claims that Apple will unveil Face ID under the display next year on the iPhone 16 Pro. Given Yang’s decent track record of releasing information about upcoming products, it’s likely that this source is correct and we’re at least 2 years away from this technology.
Later this year, Apple will unveil the iPhone 15 series, the products of which we expect all members to have Dynamic Island technology to say goodbye to the notch of the original iPhones. The notch is likely to live on in the iPhone SE for a while. It is possible that even with the move of Face ID under the screen, the dynamic island feature will remain in iPhones.
