Fajr Theater Festival and a special look at the provinces

Artist Hormazi believes that there are many unknown talents hidden in Iran, that Fajr Theater Festival can help them flourish with the process it has taken.

Charso Press: The in-person review of live broadcast stage works of the 41st Fajr International Theater Festival has started a few days ago. One of the provinces that has been evaluated by the review group these days is Hormozgan province.

Mohammad Salah-Hormazi is the director of the show “Guide to Passing the Night” one of the drama groups of this province, which applied to participate in the festival from Hormoz Island. On the sidelines of the review of shows in Hormozgan province, he expressed his satisfaction with the planning of the festival managers for the purpose of reviewing the works in person and said: The show “Guide to Crossing the Night” written by Ebrahim Pashtkohi is one that we have prepared for participation in the 41st edition of this festival.

In the introduction of his show group, Salah said: The show “Guide to Getting Through the Night”, which has a mysterious and social theme, is accompanied by 7 actors and an eight-member music group.

This director from Hormoz Island named financial issues as one of the most important concerns and challenges faced by any theater group in the festival and said: “Guide to Getting Through the Night” is the only show prepared from Hormoz Island to participate in Fajr Theater Festival. Previously, our group has participated in the Fajr International Theater Festival in 1996, and while being nominated for awards in several categories, we won the first male actor. We hope to make it to the final stage of the festival this year and make Hormuz Island proud.

Thanking the managers and policymakers of the 41st Fajr Theater Festival for their special attention to provincial theaters, Salah said: the correct and constructive look at the capacities and abilities of the city theater in this period of the festival is a source of encouragement for provincial artists and helps the culture and art of the whole country. Reviewing works in person and meeting with city artists by the review group and festival managers is one of the results of a special look at city theater, which will undoubtedly have important effects on the future of performing arts in the country.

In the end, he thanked the organizers of the festival and said: “There are many unknown talents hidden in Iran, and the Fajr Theater Festival can help them flourish with the process it has taken.”

It should be noted that these revisions are special for the big competition of stage shows (direct submission) to the festival, which will start from December 15th and will continue intensively until December 30th.

The 41st International Theater Festival will be held in February 1401 under the direction of Korosh Zarei.
