According to the announcement of the General Administration of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts of Ardabil Province, Fandaklu Forest has always been considered as a resort resource due to its proximity to Nemin city and ease of access from the Ardabil-Astara intercity road.

Fandaklu is one of the forest recreational areas located 10 km from Nemin city and 30 km from Ardabil city, and considering that the number of hazelnut trees is more than other forest trees in that area, it is known as Fandaklu forest.

The forest area of ​​Fandaghlo is considered to be a part of the forests of the east of Ardabil province, which is the continuation of the subtropical forests of Gilan, which is spread over an area approximately 25 kilometers long, and Fandaghlo, in its entire extent, leads from the west to the cultivated lands and with a short distance to the villages at the foot of the mountains. will be

From north to south, these villages are: Khanqah Aliya, Arpa Tepe, Nene Karan, Kale Sar Degarmandarq, Karim Kandi, Mahdi Posti, Dur Jin, Aladiz Geh, Garme Cheshme, Niarq Soha and Hor.

This situation has caused the forest to be accessible by different ways, and the main and well-known way is an asphalted road with a length of eight kilometers, which branches off from the 20th kilometer of the Ardabil-Namin road and after passing through the villages of Sola and Arpa Tepe Jangal It connects Fandalo to the city of Nemin.

The General Department of Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism of Ardabil province announced in January 1400 that the forests of Fandkhaloi in Nemin city were registered in the name of Ardabil province with the approval of the relevant ministry.

Tayyab Amini, the governor of Nemin city, said about this tourist area: “Fondkhalavi Nemin resort is open to tourists all year round, especially in spring and summer, due to its special location and the intersection with Gilan province, the unique and beautiful Hiran pass, and the pleasant weather.” and guests from all over the country.

He called Fandglou forest a tourist gem of Nemin city and added: Every year Chamomile festival is held in this recreational area with the participation of travelers and tourists from different regions and this tourist area attracts thousands of domestic and foreign tourists every year.

I have to say; Chamomile is a one-year, fragrant plant with a height of 20 to 40 cm, which grows as a car in fields, plains, gardens, and mostly in the forest area of ​​Fandkhlo Nemin, and is widely used in perfumeries, traditional medicine, industrial pharmaceuticals, and the production of health products.

Also, one of the most beautiful and rare flowers in the world, called the lily of the valley, grows in the plains of Fandakhlo forest, and it has a very special ability for the development of the tourism industry.

Revival of 22 hectares of Fandakhlo forest

Due to the fact that forests are affected by fires, wood smuggling and forest cutting, the implementation of forest land restoration and stabilization plans is of great importance, and the director general of natural resources and watershed management of Ardabil province has decided to restore and enrich 22 hectares of Fandalo forest in reported last year.

According to Mahmoud Gholizadeh, a part of this forest had been destroyed in recent years, and to revive this area, hazelnut seedlings were grown in pots in this forest and these seedlings were used in forest restoration.

He added: After the implementation of the cadastre plan, the area of ​​natural resources, including forests and pastures, in the province has reached more than 973 thousand hectares, and the protection of this forest is carried out by the officers of the natural resources protection unit and the monitoring system.
