I have no doubt that during your trip to Mazandaran, in addition to the nature, numerous and exciting rituals and traditions can persuade you to come to Mazandaran again and again. Villages can make you dream and create memories for you.
No matter what kind of travel you are, you probably get happy with celebrations and buy souvenirs for your loved ones. Summer is approaching its half and the rice fields of Mazandaran give their beautiful green colors to straw and gold. The rice harvest season that arrives in the corners of this blessed land, in gratitude to the creator of creation, rituals and feasts are held in order to celebrate, feast and serve, because of the blessings and blessings and another period of planting, having and harvesting the crop and Temporary leave from work in the field among the families and residents of each region should be done collectively to thank God.
Follow the harvest festivals in this land full of music, dance and joy. It is full of love and kindness. There are also many delicious foods, especially those cooked with rice and related products such as rice flour.
Now that July has entered its third hot decade, Fereydoun Kanaris, who are the producers of the best rice in the country and the owner of the brand, have harvested the first bunches in the village of “Zahedkla” and are celebrating harvest.
Let’s go to the unique city of Fereydoun Kanar together this time; In Fereydunkanar, the beach greets you and the sea greets you. You will find the azure and indigo sky wide, which invites you to silence and watch.
In this city, it is fascinating to look at continuous tides, exciting waves, always beautiful sea, sand, bubbles, oysters, small cargo and pleasure ships, large and small fish, the smell of moisture, rain-stained soil, foggy days and small rice fields and Big and wetlands are invited.
In Fereydoun, the music of the water calms every impatient soul, in this small magnificent town, when you are done watching the Fariba Sea, go to visit the many dams. In the summer you can also hear the uplifting song of resident and migratory birds; In winter, of course, this music resonates more than any other year. These days you can rush to the sea and enjoy the warmth of the water.
The age of Fereydunkanar is at least 3800 years old according to the historical works that have been discovered so far. Fereydon Shah Palace is the most significant proof of this claim that its works are located among the rice fields in the southeast of this city and is known as Qal Keti.
Fereydunkanar has about 9 kilometers of sandy beach, 80% of which is free. Come to Mazandaran whenever you want to walk on the soft sands; From hot summer to cold winter, watching the long waves of the sea makes you happy. Access to the beach is easy, the sea is nearby; Wall to wall city. In addition to swimming in the authorized areas, you can also experience sailing in the sea with boats, floats and cruise ships if you have not experienced it before.
Fereydounkanar is a familiar name in international communities, why do you ask? The only international habitat of the Siberian tern in Iran and one of the four habitats of the Siberian tern in the world is located in this city. The rarest living creature in Iran spends winters in Fereydoun Kanar wetlands. “Omid” is the last survivor of the western population of the Siberian tern, which after the death of its mate, flies hundreds of kilometers and migrates alone for about 14 consecutive years and enters Fereydoun Kanar wetland. Azar, the last month of autumn, you can come here with birdwatching tours and hear this beautiful bird whose quiet, melodious and flute-like voice is similar to the croc croc. This white bird, which looks like a dark red mask stretched from the tip of its beak to the back of its eyes, with red legs, leaves Fereydunkanar for its summer house in the north of Russia at the end of March.
Believe me, Fereydoun Kanar has more places to see and travel destinations than a single province. I promise to introduce this beautiful city in more detail on another occasion. But today let’s go to the harvest festival. Let my soul tell you; The reason why rice is accepted here is rooted in the city’s large and small wetlands and dams. The presence of numerous birds in these wetlands in all seasons, especially autumn and winter, which are also the habitat of migratory birds, provide part of the protein needed by the soil, save agricultural water, feed the underground water table, and reduce the pollution load.
Dams and some fields are flooded after the rice harvest at the end of autumn and form dams during winter. The location of these dams is fixed, because they are higher and stronger embankments to store water after the end of cultivation. These dams also become fish breeding places in winter. Now I am sure you know the reason for the quality of Fereydoun Kanar rice; Rice fields come to life with the presence of birds and fish and the soil is strong. The presence of these birds in the paddy fields for five to seven months has caused the injection of large amounts of bird droppings, and these natural fertilizers enrich the soil of the paddy fields in the region due to the presence of large amounts of nitrogen and phosphorus, and minimize the use of chemical fertilizers. Therefore, the obtained product is “organic”.
Fereydounkanar rice has a special taste and aroma and is easy to digest. It ripens well and grows taller than other local cultivars. The percentage of cracking and its adhesiveness is also much less after baking. The rains, which fortunately are not few in this city, and the fertile and plain land, have turned Fereydoun Kanar into a breeding ground for rice. The name of this city’s rice is among the healthiest rice in Iran, but also in the world. In June 2016, due to its high quality and popularity, it was registered in the national register and was given the geographical mark of Fereydoun Kanar rice. Fereydoun Kanari exports more than 150,000 tons of rice per year.
There is no need to worry; From now to a month from now, there will be even more harvest festivals (due to the second planting of rice in some areas). You have the right to say, “Who is in the mood to party and celebrate in this economic situation?” But these people, who still believe in the antiquity of their beautiful and meaningful customs, pay attention to Sarvar and happiness and the drops of Sema and revive the memory of the previous inhabitants and relatives of this land who lived in even more difficult conditions and by singing and performing rhythmic movements in They did not let despair and fatigue overcome them in the fields and while working.
When your excursion is over, visit the fish market and go to the rice sellers’ row on Valiasr street, smell a handful of authentic Fereydoun Kanar rice in the rice shops. If you like, take souvenirs.
