Regarding the tasks that the comprehensive regulatory organization is responsible for today, I must announce this to the esteemed audience that the important and necessary category of “regulation” exists in most countries of the world. For example, we can mention the “FTC” organization (FTC) in the United States and “Ofcom” in the UK, which are in charge of regulation.
*Regulation is very important
He added: What is required in the policies of a country through regulation, proper cooperation of organizations with the regulator is of great importance, and in this regard, the necessary infrastructure must be created so that national unity is not harmed. But according to the positions that are adopted, it will be clear whether national integrity and unity are given importance or not.
* Media is a very important tool that should work in harmony with governance in the country
This expert and researcher in the field of media stated: Media, especially new media, play a very important role in realizing the goals of major countries. Countries are in heavy competition in different sectors and the media is a very important tool that should work in line with the governance in the country.
What is required in the policies of a country through regulation, proper cooperation of organizations with the regulator is of great importance and in this regard, the necessary infrastructure must be created so as not to damage the national unity.
Media policy is a subset of government policy
Mousaviyan stressed: Basically, the media have their own internal policies to manage their affairs, but media policymaking is considered a subset of government and country policymaking.
The managing director and member of the board of directors of “Iran Media Literacy Association” explained: In the university, it is learned that media policy making cannot be separate from the country’s macro policy making. It should be noted that it should be moved in line with the macro policies of the country.
*All countries have strict media regulations
The former advisor to the Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance added: What media policy has is the relationship between governance and media policy. In fact, this communication is created from the ministry and intermediary organizations, such as the Ministry of Guidance or Satra, which is responsible for the regulation of universal audio and video. Therefore, compliance with the established systems and regulations of coordinating organizations is one of the requirements that such a mechanism is observed in most countries.
He emphasized: “In no country do we see the media acting in a way that harms national security and unity.”
* Today, everyone’s cooperation is necessary for the transition from oppressive sanctions while maintaining media transparency
Finally, Mousaviyan said: What is needed in this period of history is everyone’s coordination and cooperation for the transition from oppressive sanctions, so that we can see that creating hope can speed up the movement towards the anticipated goals. Another point is that the media, while being transparent and paying attention to different angles in any event, should establish their relationship with the law-making institutions in a way that reflects the wishes and desires of their audience through legal channels and channels.
